Elissa J. Tivona, PH.D. (founder)
From Elissa:
“Most change is gradual, originating from an intention for something new to emerge in the world. But moving from intention to reality can present daunting challenges. These challenges often present as disputes. I believe respectful dispute is a healthy expression of diversity, and, when done right, allows people to achieve levels of trust and just practice that make effective and lasting change possible.
Using insights from interdisciplinary studies in Education, Communication, and Political Science, I facilitate students, community groups and business leaders. Together we generate genuine dialogue across divides of faith, culture, practice and belief systems.
Typically, my work is an ongoing part of community and academic programs such as: Bridges to the Future (CSU and DU); the Faith Club and Tent of Abraham, Hagar and Sarah (ToAHS); Not In Our Town Alliance (NIOTA); District Advisory Board and Site Improvement Teams for Poudre School District. The major objective of my work is to transform conflicting perspectives into productive and meaningful community service.”
